It's amazing the gross magnification of mistakes in social media. Granted, it was clear a misstep, but it shouldn't be the only yardstick with which we judge a person's character. (To say nothing of our need to judge other people.)

Mistakes are to be learned from, not to lose one's future over. (At least grandma and grandpa never had to deal with this nonsense.)
